Because two Muvico theaters in Palm Beach County aren’t enough for the Fort Lauderdale-based builder of megaplexes. “We’re looking at building at least one, possibly two more” theaters in the county, said Hamid Hashemi, Muvico president. Hashemi confirmed he was looking for land in the western part of the county, “but we like the northern part, too,” he added slyly. “There’s a lot of growth in the northern part.” Yes, indeed, and Muvico, with its stadium-style seating and lavish finishes, would likely be very popular with the new wealth pouring into north county.
